Today's Halloween activity for Day 9 is
Make Halloween Cookies

I have some great Halloween Cookie cutters but I can not make sugar cookies to save my life. I might just have to get creative with some chocolate chip cookies. My girls will love this activity because we make the best chocolate chip cookies. So get those aprons on and get baking and as always have fun!

Watch "The Corpse Bride"

I love this movie...you just can't go wrong with Johnny Depp and Tim Burton. Again if you don't own this movie or it's not on Netflix and you can't stream it, find something similar and watch that. And as always, have fun!

Today's Halloween activity for Day 7 is

Make Tombstones
For Graveyard

Over the years we have made our own tombstones for our little graveyard. They are surprisingly easy and inexpensive.
Here is a fantastic tutorial that I found



 

You can make your tombstones as simple or as elaborate as you want, it is up to you. Ok, so I know not everyone puts a graveyard in the front yard for Halloween so this can be an exception to the regular activity for the day, but it is worth a try if you have never made one before. Also, if you are working on a craft project, making tombstones for it would be acceptable. I will be making tombstones for my craft project that I started over the weekend and they will be made of cardstock. So, no mater how you choose to make your tombstones there is no right or wrong, just simply have fun doing it.

Listen to Halloween Music

 

Now I have already been listening to Halloween music. It is tradition to play Halloween music while decorating and we started that days ago. So of course we have quite a few Halloween CDs in our house, but if you don't, you can listen to Halloween music right from your computer. Just go to Halloween Radio. They play Halloween music all year long!

 

Just another fabulous way to get into the Halloween spirit.

Today's Halloween activity for Day 5 is

 

Purchase or Make a Costume

 

I like to be prepared early for costumes so we are usually thinking about Halloween costumes all year long. Plus, we have been attending out local Zombie Walk the past couple years and we need our zombie costumes. We recently took a trip to our local Savers and I found a blue vinyl apron with rubber gloves and protective goggles. I plan to be the biochemist that caused the Zombie Apocalypse to happen for the Zombie Walk. My oldest daughter found a Daryl Dixon (TWD) vest for only $5 that I just had to have. She though hasn't decided what to do for the Zombie Walk but for Halloween she is going to be

 

Jeff the Killer.

 

We have already begun to buy the items for her Jeff the Killer costume, I think all we need now is a wig, make up and blood. My youngest daughter has been changing her mind just about every month for the last 11 months as to what she wants to be for Halloween. She has gone from Chucky, Vi from The Incredibles, Jason and now it is Ghost Face from Scream. All I know is she wants a costume to go with the blood dripping knife she wants to carry...oh and by the way she's 5.

These girls are definitely mine.

 

So get out there and get your costume or your kids costumes.

So if you don't have this particular Halloween movie you can watch any Halloween movie you have or maybe they are showing it on Netflix. Just take some time today and watch a Halloween movie and as always remember to have fun!

Make a Halloween Craft

 

Now this is pretty obvious, make a Halloween craft. I probably get my kids involved in this but Halloween crafts are not just for kids. I have some Halloween props that I have made throughout the years that are offensive to some adults. I don't care though, we all have our own ways of expressing our own creativity and sometimes my dark side seems to slip out. Whatever kind of Halloween craft you decide to do just remember, have fun!
