Happy Mother's Day Center Step Card

Well, this Sunday will be Mother's Day and this is a card that I created with my 7 year old daughter for her MomMom (Grandmother). Her MomMom loves owl's so we decided that we had to use the owl from the Create a Critter Cricut cartridge. We also found out that her favorite colors are mauve and country blue. We then choose our papers and this is what we came up with. You can't see it but I did use some foam tape behind the owl and branch.

I used these items to create my Happy Mother's Day center step card:
  • Create a Critter Cricut cartridge - owl and branch
  • Create a Critter Cricut cartridge 2 - flowers and Happy Mother's Day
  • Foam tape - behind owl and branch
  • DCWV Textured Cardstock Stack Pastels - mauve and pink
  • other cardstock and pattern paper

I will be entering my card in the following challenges:

Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out my Happy Mother's Day center step card.

A very special little boy I know is turning 3 at the end of this month. I found out from his mother that she was having a snowman/winter theme for her son's birthday party. I had just received my Frozen Cricut cartridge for my birthday last month so of course I had to make an Olaf card. I also wanted to try a different type of card, a card that I hadn't made before, a tri-fold shutter card. I can tell you this, I will only be making these types of cards for very special occasions...there are a lot of layers and places to fill. I do though love the fact that this type of card allows you to put it on display. I wanted to add more images but I didn't want to hide the pretty pattern paper too much. I love the way this card turned out. I know the little boy I made this for will love it too but I think his mom will love it more.

I used these items to create my Olaf Birthday card:
  • Frozen Cricut cartridge - Olaf
  • Create a Critter 2 Cricut cartridge - party hat and blowout
  • Mickey Font Cricut cartridge - 3
  • Bazzill cardstock: Diamond and Glitz
  • Black, white, orange, blue and brown cardstocks
  • foam squares
  • foam tape

I really do love the way this card turned out, I hope you do too. Thank you for stopping by and checking out my Olaf Birthday card. Please head on over to Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog and enter your own project for a child.
