Thank You Volleyball Coach card

Today I share with you a thank you card I created for my daughter's volleyball coach.  During the summer my oldest daughter tried her hand at volleyball and did very well.  My husband and I use to play many, many years ago at least 3 times a week, but since moving and having kids there seems to be no time for us to play anymore.  I know some day we will be able to but for now it is our kids turn to play.  So the season is coming to an end in just 2 weeks so we will be giving this thank you card to her coach to show our appreciation for introducing our daughter to one of our favorite sports, volleyball!

I used these items to create this card:
  • Design Studio
  • Sports Mania Cricut cartridge
  • 2 Star brads
  • misc. clear Thank You stamp

Father's Day Celebration Table Decoration, Sign and Card

So I was inspired the other day by another crafty blogger to create this Father's Day table decoration.  She inspired the container made from theater boxed candy.  My husband loves candy, especially chocolate, so these M & M's boxed candies were perfect.  I changed the design just a tad.

Basically I attached the boxes to each other, created and attached a bottom cut out of a portion of a cereal box and inserted some floral foam to hold the picks.  I created most of the picks and the sign from the Father's Day Cricut cartridge and just the hockey player from Sports Mania Cricut cartridge.  Each pick represents something my husband enjoys.  Lastly I tied the boxes off with some jute.

I then took a photo of my girls holding the "Best Dad Ever" sign and had it printed out as a card from Walgreens.

Here's the 5 x 7 card, the coloring looks much better in person:

All Star - Shine On

I created this card for my 9 year old daughter. Her school has requested that the parents send in a "surprise" note this week to be given to their child next week before taking the AIMS tests for encouragement. I wrote a little note in the inside.  I've been having to do a little here and there all week to get this done without my daughter seeing it...I hope she likes it and it gives her that little extra encouragement to get her through the tests next week!

I used these Cricut cartridges:

Wild Card for the star card and I made the coordinating envelop both cut at 5 1/2, embossed the pink star and used glitter glue to add a little shimmer

Sports Mania for the All Star cut at 1 1/4 and the shadow

Hannah Montana for the Shine On in the inside of the card which I created in Design Studio, welded and slanted it slightly and then I added Martha Stewart glitter (tourmaline)

Here's a couple more images:
