National Thank a Police Officer Day 2015

This past Saturday, September 19, 2015, was National Thank a Police Officer Day. My best friend is married to a Phoenix police officer and she asked me if I would make some posters for her for a little celebration she was putting together for the Phoenix Police Department. I, of course, said yes.

I made 2 posters out of 1 black poster and 1 blue poster, plus white cardstock.

Here is the other poster I made.

I also decided to make a simple easel card to express my thanks to the Phoenix Police Department.

I used these items to make my posters and card:
  • Black and blue posters
  • Black and white cardstock
  • Cake Basics Cricut cartridge -  Thank You Phoenix PD poster
  • Beyond Birthdays, Calligraphy Collection, Jasmine, and Phrases Cricut cartridges - Many Thanks poster
  • Storybook Cricut cartridge - Thank You card
  • Silver Star brads - card
I am entering my posters and card in the following challenges:
Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out my National Thank a Police Officer Day posters and card.

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #256 - Fun in the Sun

Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge!

Challenge #256-Fun in the Sun
Create a project that features outdoor summer activities.

This Weeks Sponsor
Bugaboo Stamps

The prize is 7 digital stamps!

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

I have created a Summer scrapbook layout. These photos are of me and my youngest daughter during the Summer of 2011. My daughter was approximately 19 months old. This was the first time she showed any real enjoyment out of the pool experience.

My thought was to add glossy accents to the title and splash images but all 3 bottles I had were dead. I was out of time and had to finish the layout. Maybe in the future when I get some more I will add it to the page but until then this will have to do. I do like the way the scrapbook layout turned out and I hope you do too.

I used these items to create my Summer scrapbook layout:
  • Create a Critter Cricut cartridge - title
  • Cake Basics Cricut cartridge - splash images
I am entering my layout in the following challenges:
This was a fun and easy scrapbook layout to put together. Hopefully my scrapbook layout has inspired you to create your own outdoors Summer activities project and enter it in at the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge. Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out my Summer scrapbook layout.

Be My "Bloody" Valentine Candy Box

I am super excited to share with you today my Be My "Bloody" Valentine Candy Box with a little surprise inside. This is for sure not your traditional box of chocolates for a traditional Valentine. Since my favorite show, "The Walking Dead" comes back on tonight I just had to pay tribute to it. So I created a triangle candy box, decorated it with a Valentine flare and some "blood splatter." Then I hit the kitchen and made some candy coated Oreo brains for the surprise inside.

I used these items to create the Candy Box (ALL of which have been in my stash for quite some time):

  • Sweet Tooth Boxes Cricut cartridge - triangle candy box cut at 9 1/4
  • Cake Basics Cricut cartridge - heart cut at 9 1 /2
  • Wild Card Cricut cartridge - Be my Valentine
  • red lace
  • red craft paint - "blood splatter"
  • Glossy Accents

I used these items to create the surprise inside (ALL of which I had on hand too):
  • Wilton Cookie Candy Mold
  • Oreo cookies
  • Wilton Candy Melts - red, pink and white
