End of the Year Pillow Boxes

I had such a blast creating these little pillow boxes for my oldest daughter's 4th grade class.  The colors I choose are purple and yellow which are the school's colors.  The comet also represents the school, they are known as "The home of the Comets."

So I had never made a pillow box so I did a little research on the internet about what size I should cut them with my Cricut.  The one person that I watched cut her pillow boxes at 5 inches, I decided to cut mine at 5 5/8 inches.  I found out at this size I could cut 4 boxes out of 1 12 x 12 piece of cardstock and it also allowed me to fill the boxes with 4 SMARTIES candies.  This only shows half of what I made.  I had to make 28 of these little darlings.

I designed the boxes using my Design Studio, the Wrap it Up Cricut cartridge and the Ultimate Creative Series Sampler Cricut cartridge.  I couldn't find just a plain pillow box on the Wrap it Up Cricut cartridge so I used the one with the diploma on it, hid the contours and inserted the shooting star from the Ultimate Creative Series Sampler Cricut cartridge.  I cut the inside out from yellow cardstock and then once the box was assembled I stickled it.

On the back I used a clear stamp I got from the Michael's dollar bin.

I am entering my End of the Year Pillow Boxes in the following challenges:
