Hello

Tonight I'm getting this done last minute. I spent a lot of time researching for this card. I knew that I wanted to include a flower and a butterfly. I knew the colors I wanted to use. Then I found this perfect little hello with a butterfly on Lyrical Letters Cricut cartridge. Now I just needed to find the perfect flower and I found it on Kate's ABCs Cricut cartridge. I then did some sketching because I was unsure as to how I wanted to place everything. This is what I came up with.

I used these items to create my Hello card:
  • Lyrical Letters Cricut cartridge - Hello
  • Kate's ABCs Cricut cartridge - flower
  • Martha Stewart corner punch
  • Jute packaging twine
  • white gel pen - added to the butterfly
  • Foam mounts - behind flower

Happy New Year 2013 Party Hats

Happy New Year!!! I hope everyone is starting the new year off to a good start! I'm happy to be giving you a look at my first project of the New Year! I created a couple of New Year's party hats to help ring in the new year with my girls!

Here's is my youngest daughter wearing her hat proudly!

And here is my oldest daughter, looking a little bit tired just before midnight, wearing her hat.

Now since my youngest daughter went to sleep I borrowed her hat to wear, with my oldest daughter, while the New Year's Eve ball dropped!

I used these items to make my hats:
  • Life's a Party Cricut cartridge - hats
  • Lyrical Letters Cricut cartridge - "Happy New Year" and "2013"
  • feathers (stash)
  • ribbon (stash)
  • Martha Stewart glitter (I've had for over a year)
  • DCWV the Glitter cardstock stack (I've had for probably 2 years) - hats
  •

This was such a fun and easy project, I will for sure be making more party hats in the future! Thank you for stopping by and checking out my New Year's party hats!

Love You - Minnie Valentine

Today I share with you a valentine I made for my 2 year old daughter Jaidyn.  Recently she was introduced to Mickey Mouse and Friends and she always says, "Minnie, Minnie, Minnie," when she sees Mickey or Minnie, so I just had to do Minnie for her.  Yes, I know another easel card, well I just can't help it I love this type of card.

I used these items to create this valentine:
  • Design Studio
  • Disney Mickey Font Cricut cartridge - for Minnie
  • Lyrical Letters Cricut cartridge - for the "Love You"
  • Martha Stewart punch set
  • DCWV Nana's Kids printed cardstock - the polka dot paper
  • Cuttlebug - for Minnie's bow
  • Swiss Dots embossing folder - for Minnie's bow
  • white gel pen - for Minnie's bow
  • conversation hearts ribbon - I cut the hearts out to use in the corners

Here is an up close look at the individual parts of my card:

I can't believe it I actually got a valentine completed way in advance...WHOO HOO!  Now I must get some other projects going.  I have my oldest daughter's Valentine's to make for her class of 28, invitations to my oldest daughter's birthday and decorations to make for her party too!  I'm gonna be a busy little bee for the next month and a half...wish me luck!
