You're the Best! Teacher Appreciation card

I think this is the last teacher appreciation project for this year.  We've had a rough last 2 weeks with my youngest having Strep last week and me and my oldest just having a really bad sickness this week.  Plus, Tuesday our dear bassetthound Lady passed away.   She had been going down hill quickly since the weekend so we knew it was coming.  We were able to say our goodbyes and she went in her sleep Tuesday night.  Today we buried her and our youngest really couldn't understand why we put Lady in a bag and in a hole, she did though repeatedly say,"Bye Bye Lady."  I'm relieved and sad but I know she's in a better place and not in pain anymore.

R.I.P. Lady!

This card is going along with the other projects I made this week for my daughter's 4th grade teacher.  I was inspired by another blogger to make this card into not just a card but a post-it note holder, too.

I used these items to create this card:
  • Post-it note - from the dollar store (2 pk.)
  • Calligraphy Collection Cricut cartridge - "You're the Best!"
  • A Child's Year Cricut cartridge - apple
  • Green and red Stickles
  • Martha Stewart white glitter - on the "You're the Best!"
  • white gel pen
  • Misc. clear Thank You stamp - on the Post-it note
  • foam squares - behind the apple

Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out my Teacher Appreciation card.

  1. oh Carol I am so sorry about your Lady passing. So hard when we lose our pets they love us no matter what they steal our hearts and we are never quiet the same. Your teacher card is wonderful and fits my challenge this week if you care to enter it. Karen
