Grandpa and Me

I just wanted to share this layout I did a couple of years ago for my father-in-law.  My heart weighs heavy as I write this.  My father-in-law has been in the hospital for a week now with some major health issues and we are not sure how this is all going to play out.  We are praying that at least his heart gets strong enough so that we can move him to a better hospital, as for right now that is not possible.  I didn't use any Cricut on this, I don't even think I owned a Cricut yet.  I have some buttons framing some of the pictures, some felt flowers held on with brads, a butterfly, a dragonfly, a shooting star sticker, and some metal charms.  Even though my oldest daughter hasn't had a lot of time with her Grandpa (PopPop) because of living 2,000 miles away, she has had a lot of quality time with him, time that I know she will cherish forever!

Enjoy the Ride layout

I made this layout for my husband for Father's Day 2011. Not much Cricut. I used Basic Grey paper from the "Oh Baby! Boy Collection Pack."

I used this Cricut cartridge:

Graphically Speaking for the circle title

I used the Design Studio to make the base circle a 4 inch circle and also made the phrase layer into a 3.75 inch circle

I stickled the phrase, added ribbon, added a small metal tag, doodled around the entire layout and included some handewritten info about my daughters. This was the 1st time I had doodled or hand wrote anything on a project. I think it turned out pretty good for the 1st time.

Thanks for looking, I hope you enjoyed it.

Here are some other photos of the layout and the card together.

Father's Day card

I made this card for my hubby for Father's Day 2011. I used Basic Grey paper from "Oh Baby! Boy Collection Pack." It is very simple.

I used these Cricut cartridges:

George and Basic Shapes for the circle and circle silhouette cut at 4

Wild Card for the "Happy Father's Day" cut at 3 which I stickled with orange stickle

Thanks for lookin'!

Sugar and Spice (premade) Layout

NOW WITH PICTURES!!!

I made this layout for my Mom for her birthday, it will have pictures of my girls in them in the very near future.  As a part of the theme for her birthday, it had to be strawberries!

I used these Cricut cartridges:

Rock Princess for the "Sugar & Spice " title cut at 1 3/4, I also used Martha Stewart glitter on the strawberry and heart, and Stickles to outline the title

Simply Charmed for the additional strawberries cut at 3 3 /4, which I also stickled

I added buttons to the right side corners and a strip of strawberry ribbon the the left side.

Thanks for looking, I hope you enjoyed it and here are some additional photos!

Have a Berry Sweet Birthday card

It has been a while since I actually had the opportunity to make anything, so here it is.

I made this easel card for my Mom, who's birthday is this week and she loves strawberries...in fact she bought me this cart so I thought it would be fitting that I use it to make her birthday card!

I used these Cricut cartridges:
Simply Charmed for the strawberry bowl cut at 3 1/2 and the berry sweet cut at 1

Calligraphy Collection for the Birthday cut at 2

I used D'vine Swirls and Swiss Dots embossing folders.

I added ribbon from Michael's and a couple of brads.

The card is a 5 1/2 inch square card.

Simple and Sweet, I hope she likes it!
